Flying Easy
"Flying Easy" is a song from Donny Hathaway's 1973 album, ''Extension of a Man''. Hathaway originally recorded the song as an instrumental with the Woody Herman band on a Chess release from 1969 titled 'Heavy Exposure' in a somewhat less polished form. It was recorded in the hopes that United Airlines might use is for a national advertising campaign. Donny redeemed the Herman take with a smooth and easy version that used the brass sparingly and added the mellowing presence of strings. Combined with the lyrics of Walter Lowe and Franklin Moss, Jr., it became the version heard on "Extensions..." ==External links==
